A single mother who used to survive on charity hand-outs but who now claims to earn up to £100,000 a month from creating online adult content has announced plans to join the ranks of UK landlords.
28-year-old Rebecca Goodwin (main picture, inset), who previously struggled to support herself and two daughters, now owns her own home outright and recently bought herself an upmarket car after becoming one of the most popular accounts on paid-for adult platform OnlyFans.
But Goodwin is unusual within this community after announcing on Twitter that we will be using her substantial income to fund the purchase of eight properties in and around her home town of Mansfield in Derbyshire.
After announcing her plan to buy the properties outright and then rent them out to low-income families, her news was met with some scepticism by some online landlords as ‘unrealistic’.
But she replied, saying that: “I make enough profit on Onlyfans, I have no mortgages so rent payments are 100% profit except maintenance and insurance.
“This is a side hustle that my kids can inherit. I’m not doing it to make me more money I’m doing it invest in my kids futures.”
She also revealed one of her first purchases, a four-bedroom, three bathroom house with off-road parking for two cars, fully furnished at £650 a month, tweeting pictures of the refurb (main picture).
The fame and fortune that OnlyFans generates for its creators is considerable – Goodwin’s tweet about her plans has been read over 600,000 times so far.
She has also shared her 2021/22 tax return online, which reveals a tax bill of £175,000, and income hitting some £2m since show joined OnlyFans in 2019.
